Create a step-by-step guide
Step 1: Open the report to edit
- see Opening a SuperReport for help getting a report open in the Report Editor
Step 2: Add a Picture object to the report
- In the toolbar at the top of the report editor, click the Picture Tool (looks like a roll of film)
- In the canvas area, click and drag to create the object frame that will contain the picture
- When you release, a dialog will pop up for specifying the picture properties
- In the Picture Object Propertiesdialog, there are 2 ways to add your picture to the empty thumbnail area
- right-click and choose Import... to select your picture
- On Mac: open a Finder window containing the picture you want and position so you can see the thumbnail area in the Picture Object Properties window and then drag your JPG/PNG/PDF over the thumbnail area. You should see the mouse cursor change to a little + to indicate you are adding the object. Repease your mouse and a thumbnail of the image should appear.
- On Windows: open a Desktop Explorer window containing the picture you want and position so you can see the thumbnail area in the Picture Object Properties window and then drag your JPG/PNG/PDF over the thumbnail area. You should see the mouse cursor change to a little + to indicate you are adding the object. Repease your mouse and a thumbnail of the image should appear.
- Once you have added your picture, set the appropriate scaling/centering properties from the radio buttons in the lower left of the dialog to properly display your picture.
- When ready, click OK to save the object and return to the report editor
- You can now move and resize the picture as needed to get into position for your needs.
- Once you have the image sized and placed the way you want, click the Save & Close button to save and exit the report editor.
